The 4u2fish project is all about sorting out the silt deposits and related water flow problems within the St. Lucia estuary and lake systems to ensure that the fish breeding grounds and nursery grounds for juvenile fish are functional and accessible for optimal biodiversity management within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site in North East Zululand.

these fish breeding grounds within the St. Lucia Est urine system used to be functional, and were well maintained by the NPB or Natal Parks Board. There was a change of guard, in 1999, and the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority or the IWPA took over the management. of the area. The IWPA and its predecessors have not done the same, and they have allowed the core element of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park World heritage Site to become ecologically degraded and biological diversity has been punished seriously, leaving the St. Lucia estuary in a nonfunctional state.
There are going to be very costly legal battles and many public awareness campaigns to put pressure on central government organizations to do the right things. I will thus need to raise funds to tackle the problem. any contributions in kind, cash or otherwise will be truly appreciated.
